Excellent Wagon, but.....
Bought this wagon 4 months ago and it has been great. I absolutley love the canopy top and the storage seat. Overall I've been extremely happy with this product. My 4 1/2yr old son loves as do the neighborhood kids. I only have one complaint and 1 suggestion.

My complaint: The handle is about 4 inches too short. I'm 5'6" and I have a hard time pulling it up any hills because I have to slouch down and it makes it very difficult.

My suggestion: If it is possible, the next model should have a door on the side without the cup holders. It becomes interesting when 2 kids are getting in with wet shoes and are trying to kick the other in the face.

If you buy this product you will not be disappointed it's very sturdy, however I just hope you have long arms or are shorter than I am.

-wheels are very good quality and feel almost like an actual rubber tire.. will absorb the ride making it silent and smooth. (this was a major factor in deciding which wagon to get.. they should emphasize this fact more in their description, they would sell more)
I wish the step2 car that pushes like a buggy would have these type of wheels instead of the hard plastic that cause a loud and hard ride.

-It does have the ability to attach the trailer which is sold separately.

-as with most step2 products we've purchased, the blow-molded plastic doesn't always fit properly the way it should. We have a slide by them where i had to file open the hole so it would fit. With this wagon I can see how the problem of having to constantly straighten the tight wheels comes from. The wheel bracket seemed to fit tightly on the one side and the wheel wouldn't pivot the way it should easily. The plastic was a little too thick in this area. So I used a small flathead screwdriver and tapped the hole open a little further allowing the piece that touches the bottom of the wagon to have a larger sitting area. This allowed for easier wheel turning. (see attached picture that shows where I did this).
I could have sent it back but that's just how these plastic made products are. They just aren't perfect. The door is a little tough to get open but this isn't a big deal, you don't want it opening too easily.

-so assembly took some time and effort

-the canopy does not snap in the way the directions say it should.. it basically just sits on top of the 4 supports. Not a major deal though. It's designed to snap in, but again these parts just don't fit perfectly.

-the biggest gripe i have with it, like others have mentioned, is the turning design.. the wheels are designed unlike a regular wagon, they are attached to the frame to prevent tipping. This is good but it makes the entire wagon rigid. If you move your hand an inch the wagon goes in that direction, and makes it kindof hard to pull behind you.. it doesn't flow the way a regular wagon does. They could have kept the wheels as is but still designed so that the handle was able to pivot the way a regular wagon does. Have a pivot attached to the frame, not the wheels. It takes some getting used to how to steer this thing. You have to take corners pretty wide because of it. I'm just used to the regular pivot of a wagon, not the rigidness of one where the handle is attached to the frame as this one is. Again, not a major deal but it is something i would have done differently and maybe in the future they will.

bottom line
- it's a great wagon (though would get heavy if you're using hills) and my niece loves it. This is all that matters.


*edit* the steering really isn't too hard to get used to.. it's easy if you hold the side of the handle as you're walking.

Every kid should have one!!!
Our kids' grandma sent $ for them to get a wagon. So we have looked at just about every wagon out there! Not only did our kids love this wagon, but there are perks for the parents too (storage and cup holders for everyone)!!! We take our kids on walks and to the zoo etc. a lot and this will be perfect! We had a double stroller, but it just wasn't comfortable enough. We highly recommend this wagon!!! Step 2 has really thought of the details of every day life with kids!!!
